Senior art and design students at Trinity Western University are celebrating the culmination of their work with Coalesce, an exhibition that showcases each student鈥檚 distinctive voice.

Running March 27 to April 29, the show鈥檚 eight artists 鈥 Emily Arnett, Jacquelyn Miller, Kiersten Sawchuk, Bailey Snider, Hannah Stover, Cassie Thorpe, Rachel Voth and Sarah Wright 鈥 weave together narratives, both personal and universal, to explore themes of embodiment, speculation and memory.

鈥淭he Art + Design program at TWU allowed me the freedom to explore many different types of art mediums,鈥 says Bailey Snider, who hails from Walla Walla, WA. 鈥淭he wide variety of classes gave me the opportunity to try things I never saw myself doing. It was challenging and rewarding.鈥

Snider鈥檚 senior project includes large-scale tapestries, focused on narrative and story telling.

A mixed media exhibition, Coalesce represents several bodies of student created work, which have been altered and refined throughout these students鈥 education.

Though each tale is as unique as the artist who tells it, the stories enmesh to create ongoing engagement with culture and our inner selves. This mixed-media exhibition, featuring the work of TWU鈥檚 graduating Art + Design students, invites you to share in a dialogue exploring what it means to be human 鈥 and to revel in the collective uncertainty that goes with it.

鈥淚t鈥檚 amazing to see each artist鈥檚 progression right before our eyes as we create,鈥 Snider says. 鈥淭his exhibition is a celebration of all we鈥檝e learned and accomplished in our art education.鈥
