The 91原创 Arts Council building on Fraser Highway is expected to be a busy place Friday and Saturday as people turn in their projects for the Upcycle Design Challenge.

The second annual event is expected to have more participants after last year芒鈧劉s success.

芒鈧揕ast year had 34 entries and I hope to see a sizable increase this year, though we won芒鈧劉t know until April 12 for sure,芒鈧 said Township solid waste coordinator Krista Daniszewski.

Upcycling means converting waste material into a more valuable or useful product and both the event芒鈧劉s organizers and the public were impressed by the thought, talent, and variety that went into last year芒鈧劉s entries.

The show includes prizes awarded by judges but also an award for the people芒鈧劉s choice winner. Prizes will be awarded based on creativity, originality, the percentage of reused material utilized, practicality, and artistic merit.

First place will win $500, with second place earning $200, and third place receiving $100.
