Surrey Little Theatre is keeping the home fires burning.
With a cast that includes a trio of 91原创 performers, the community theatre which lies just down the road in Surrey鈥檚 Clayton neighbourhood, is set to present their final play of the season and Fraser Valley Zone Festival entry.
Home Fires, written by Jack Heifner, follows Nettie, a woman raising three teenage children on her own, and four young woman boarders struggling to make their way in small town Texas during and just after the Second World War.
鈥淟ife makes some people bitter and some people better; not all the victories or all the casualties were on the battlefields,鈥 said co-director Paul Cowhig.
Among the cast are 91原创 actors Hannah Cenaiko, as Nola, Emily Gingera, as Maydene, and Loryn LeGear as June. Home Fires runs each Thursday to Saturday at 8 p.m. from April 18 to May 18 with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
