Youth homeless initiatives in 91原创 are receiving a financial boost, thanks to another successful .
The event, which took place at Yorkson Creek Middle School March 9 to 11, showcased work from 22 of the top artists in Western Canada, and featured a special display of student art from emerging young artists.
A portion of all art sales from the show will be donated to the 91原创 School District Foundation and their work in helping homeless youth 鈥� a new initiative for the West Fine Art Show Society.
While a grand total has yet to be determined, organizers are pleased with how it went.
鈥淔or a start-up show, I am very satisfied that we put on a first class show and all the artists and visitors commented about how much they enjoyed the experience,鈥� said Brian Croft, president of the West Fine Art Show Society.
The early spring show was the first of three events to be held this year, with an exhibition planned at the Cloverdale Rodeo May 18-21 and at Glass House Estate Winery Sept. 21-23.

Over the weekend, the society also paid homage to its founder, Murray Phillips, who passed away earlier this month.
鈥淧eople who knew him will fondly remember Murray for his many contributions to so many individuals, and to artists, and to our community,鈥� Croft said during the show鈥檚 opening reception.
鈥淗is accomplishments as an artist, teacher, mentor and leader served as the catalyst for many to become the artists that they are today. His final gift to us is this art show.鈥�
