Rain won鈥檛 stop Santa Claus from coming to 91原创 this weekend.
Regardless of weather, the City鈥檚 annual Magic of Christmas Parade is happening this Saturday, Dec. 1 in downtown 91原创.
City councillor Paul Albrecht has been the co-chair of the organizing committee for four years and said the event 鈥渞eally sets the holiday spirit for me.鈥
鈥淚t seems to bring people together in a very fun and rewarding way, generates a true feeling of caring and giving, as well as provides an event for all people of all ages to enjoy and participate in.鈥
The all-day event kicks off with a Santa Claus breakfast at Douglas Recreation Centre at 20550 Douglas Cres., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Cost is $10 per person, and children under three are free.

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the whole family is invited to McBurney Plaza at 20518 Fraser Hwy. for holiday entertainment and crafts.
At 6 p.m., a Christmas parade with more than 40 festive floats, bands, decorated vehicles, dancers, and community groups will start at Fraser Highway and 56th Ave., travel east along Fraser Hwy., and finish at Fraser Hwy. and 207th St.
And the night ends with the Mayor and Council lighting up the Christmas tree at McBurney Plaza, followed by hot chocolate and caroling.
