The music department at R.E. Mountain Secondary School will hold its ninth annual Spring Pops Concert on Wednesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in the main gymnasium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Under the musical direction of David Mills and Jen Williams, this fundraising concert will feature the school鈥檚 bands and choirs performing popular film and television music in a relaxed and informal setting.
This year鈥檚 concert will also highlight the music of Hollywood, including hits from Star Wars, the Harry Potter film series, West Side Story, James Bond and The Lord Of The Rings.
A limited number of dress circle tickets are available, which will reserve a front row table and deluxe seats.
There will also be many items to bid on in a silent auction.
Due to the success of last year鈥檚 concert, seating has been increased to accommodate nearly 350 guests.
Tickets will be available at the door, but it is best to order them in advance at the school鈥檚 music room, or by phoning the school and placing a 鈥渨ill-call鈥 order (604-888-3033).
Will-call tickets must be picked up by 6:50 p.m. on the night of the concert.
Ticket prices are $20 ($10 child/student), or $25 for dress circle (there are no 鈥渃hild鈥 tickets for dress circle).
All funds raised will go directly to the Mountain music program to purchase instruments, uniforms, and equipment.
