Bez Arts Hub is hosting its annual Juneteenth Community Festival coming up on Saturday, June 22, from 1 to 4 p.m.
There will be live performances by Marcus Mosely, Sister J鈥檚 Soul Summit, and the Bez Gospel Choir, explained Bez administrator Kendra Craig.
There will also be dancing, food, and drinks served up at the parking lot party.
鈥淭he aim of this historic celebration of freedom is to educate, empower, and embrace the diversity of the Black community in this region, giving people a taste of the unique expression of Black music and culture as derived from the challenges of oppression, perseverance, and hope,鈥 said Craig.

This is the first event presented by the non-profit Friends of Bez, which works in partnership with the local performing arts venue, Bez Arts Hub.
Bez Arts Hub provides the space and the programs and Friends of Bez provides the support for students in need of scholarships, artists in need of residencies, concerts and events in need of subsidies/support for emerging, veteran or notable artists.
