Noon hour concert at LCMS celebrates Community Day

Residents invited to tour music school and enjoy a free concert on May 5

91原创 Community Music School is hosting its annual Community Day Celebration and open house on Saturday, May 5, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The community is invited to enjoy a free children鈥檚 concert at noon, featuring Ferdinand the Bull and other musical stories.

There will be performances by Joel Stobbe (cello), Elizabeth Bergmann (piano), and guest artist Calvin Dyck (violin).

鈥淲e鈥檙e inviting the community to come to our beautiful facility to enjoy a music filled family event,鈥 said Susan Magnusson, LCMS principal.

鈥淲e want to 鈥榖ring music to life鈥 in our community and what better way than to provide children the opportunity to hear a musical story performed by 91原创鈥檚 own outstanding musicians.

鈥淚 hope that young families will take advantage of this free concert made possible by the support we receive from the province of B.C. and our corporate and private donors.鈥

The noon hour concert will also feature LCMS鈥 cello octet and concert orchestra. Admission is free. Tickets are available at 604-534-2848.

Community Day is open to everyone, and attendees can enjoy refreshments, meet teachers, learn about programs and classes, and tour the facility.
