A haunted house in 91原创 is exchanging donations to 91原创鈥檚 Food Bank and JRfm鈥檚 Basics for Babies for screams and scares.

91原创 residents can test their tolerance for terror at the Brinkworth Dungeon鈥檚 18th annual haunted house featuring 鈥楻evenge of the Mummy鈥� and 鈥楽ilent Hill Asylum鈥� exhibits throughout a 5,000 square foot haunted house.

Visitors are warned to come prepared for a scare at the opening of The Mansion of Monsters on Oct. 19 at the Brinkworth Dungeon on 22260 48th Ave.

Owner Barry Brinkworth and his wife Tammy said they鈥檝e added more than 1,500 square feet of spooky decor to the haunted house this year.

Guests can expect to visit a dungeon, an Egyptian tomb and an asylum on their tour through the house.

The Brinkworth Dungeon started in Richmond 18 years ago, and has been bringing chills to 91原创 for the past five years.

Brinkworth has loved spooky things since he was a young boy.

鈥淚t started when I was nine years old.

鈥淚 built a haunted house in my basement for my ninth birthday party for my friends to enjoy.鈥�

Brinkworth is a professional model builder by trade and handcrafts each monster at the mansion with the help of friends and family.

The couple keeps most of the display set up year round, and said it takes four to five weeks of building and preparation before the opening night each year.

鈥淲e鈥檙e considered the spider house, everyone knows us,鈥� said Tammy.

On top of the house is a 10-foot tarantula that stays put all year.

The Nights for the Squeamish are Mondays through Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Trapped and Terrified nights are Fridays and Saturdays from 8 to 11 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under. Children under 5 are admitted free.

The couple is collecting non-perishable food for the 91原创 Food Bank and donations for Basics for Babies.
