Royal City Youth Ballet is presenting its 29th season of The Nutcracker at the Surrey Arts Centre Dec. 8-10.

A tradition for many families, the full length ballet features beautiful sets and extravagant costumes that illuminate the magic of the toy soldiers, Sugar Plum Fairy and a growing Christmas tree.

The cast of more than 80 talented young dancers, many from 91原创, travel all over the province to perform this holiday classic.

The Nutcracker will also be showcased in North Vancouver at Centennial Theatre on Dec. 17 (1 p.m. and 4 p.m.) and in New Westminster at Massey Theatre on Dec. 23 (2 p.m. and 7 p.m.).
