The fourth annual 91原创 Has Talent final competition is just days away. This Saturday evening, the top 13 acts chosen from the March 29 semifinal contest will hit the stage at CLA once again. This time, they will vie for cash prizes totaling $5,000

In addition to awards of $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $1,000 for third place, there will also be scholarships and industry prize packages up for grabs.

Among the acts scheduled to perform are singers, bands, dancers and an aerial acrobat.

Evaluating their efforts will be a panel of celebrity judges, including talent agent Jolienne Moore, Leah Emmott, former drummer for the all-girl punk rock band LiveonRelease, and 91原创 TV and film actor Mike Roberds, best known for his role as Uncle Fester on The New Addams Family.

鈥淲e are hoping that this event will provide the incentive and the motivation for our 13 outstanding finalists to pursue their performing passion,鈥 said LHT founder Peter Luongo.

鈥淲e have soloists singing both cover and original tunes, bands, and some of 91原创鈥檚 finest dancers. There is even a Cirque du Soleil-style act.

鈥淭hese performers are truly outstanding.鈥

At $20 a ticket 91原创 Has Talent offers an affordable evening of family-friendly entertainment, said Luongo.

Any elementary or middle school student in the 91原创 school district will be admitted at no charge if each child is accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket.

As in past years, 91原创 Has Talent is presented in co-operation by the four Rotary Clubs of 91原创.

Since the first competition was held in the spring of 2011, the goal has been to raise awareness about the need for a dedicated performing arts centre in 91原创.

This year鈥檚 final competition takes place at Christian Life Assembly, 21277 56 Ave.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m., show begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available online at langleyhastalent.com or they can be picked up from the 91原创 Times office, 20258 Fraser Hwy.
