Featuring Juno award winner and LCMS alumnus Brad Turner on piano, Darren Radtke on bass and Bernie Arai on drums, the trio will perform lively jazz numbers, including work from their latest CD .
Pianist Brad Turner is a three-time Juno award winner, and considered one of Canada鈥檚 most in-demand and highly esteemed jazz musicians. Described as a 鈥渢riple threat,鈥 Turner is also an accomplished trumpeter, drummer and composer. He has performed and/or recorded with such artists as Joe Lovano, Bill Frisell, Kenny Wheeler, John Scofield, Rene茅 Rosnes, Ingrid Jensen, Dave Douglas, Mike Murley, Seamus Blake, Christine Jensen, Kenny Werner, Dee Daniels, Mark Guiliana and Ernie Watts.
Darren Radtke (bass) is also nationally acclaimed, having gained notoriety for his work with Denzil Sinclair鈥檚 Juno nominated album titled I Found Love, as well as his work for Nintendo, creating music for such video games as Luigi鈥檚 Mansion: Dark Moon, which has sold over 5 million copies. He has also worked with such notable performers as Martin Short, Cedar Walton, Ernie Watts, Michael Bubble, Don Rickles and Joan Rivers.
Bernie Arai (drums and cymbals) is also a recording artist, composer and educator, working percussion and electronic music, spanning a variety of styles, from jazz and improvised music to traditional Japanese. He has also worked with some of Canada鈥檚 most accomplished musicians, touring across Canada, the United States, Japan and Europe.
