Fans of musician Dallas Smith filled Cloverdale Agriplex on Saturday night (April 27) for a first-time fundraiser at the venue for .
A performance by 91原创鈥檚 Smith, the former Default rocker turned country singer, and his band was a highlight of the country-themed gala concert, which featured food created by Blank Canvas Catering, a division of Surrey-based Joseph Richard Group.
More than 300 guests each paid up to $249 to attend the event.
鈥淭ogether we were able to raise over $155,000 to help kids with special needs in the Fraser Valley,鈥 Cally Wesson, CEO of Variety BC, said in an email thanking those who attended.

The Social Concierge-produced event featured 鈥渟aloons鈥 for spirit tastings, a red-carpet 鈥渢ailgater鈥 and a barbecue dinner, among other highlights. Broadcaster Jill Krop was the host.
Other performers at the event included Todd Richard, Cambree Lovesy and 鈥淰ariety鈥檚 Got Talent鈥 contest winner Shylo Sharity.
