Fort 91原创 already draws a huge crowd of visitors most weekends.

Add a food truck festival to the mix, and the numbers skyrocket, said Laine Ogilvie, organizer of the .

This Saturday, she鈥檚 bringing the festival and about 25 food trucks to Fort 91原创 for the third consecutive year, and she鈥檚 expects thousands will once again flock to the village.

鈥淲e had approximately 12,000 attendees last year,鈥� she said, noting the event is held in conjunction with the Fort鈥檚 Business Improvement Area, which was trying to bring in larger crowds.

鈥淪o when we bring these trucks in, it really draws a crowd for a cool street festival,鈥� Ogilvie said. 鈥淎ll the shops get super busy during the event.鈥�

It鈥檚 an event for the entire family, she said.

While the highlight of the day is the food trucks, she also arranged for some kids entertainment and a live band, called Pop Junkies, will be performing.

The festival runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Following Saturday鈥檚 party on Glover Road in Fort 91原创, the Food Truck Festival heads downtown 鈥� Vancouver that is. Sunday, Ogilvie and the event are being set up on Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver. And later this month, on Sept. 23, they鈥檙e across the river in Maple Ridge鈥檚 Haney Plaza.

Gearing up for this year鈥檚 festivities, Ogilvie was counting the number of sleeps until the event.

Among the food trucks expected in attendance, she said Reel Mac & Cheese, The Reef Runner, Mandalay Bay Burmese, and Big Red鈥檚 Poutine, are among them. There鈥檚 also likelihoods that Dim Sum Express, Tacofino, Vij鈥檚, Roaming Dragon, Feastro, El Cartel, Cannolli King, Slavic Rolls, Rocky Point Ice Cream, G鈥檚 Donairs, Mo Bacon, This Little Piggy, and Lenny鈥檚 Lemonade will be present.
