Darius Rucker announced that Abbotsford would be the first stop on the Canadian leg of his 2025 tour.

Country music fans can rejoice as megastar Darius Rucker has announced he'll be touring through Canada this fall, with this leg of the tour kicking off in Abbotsford.

It's been three long years since Rucker has performed in B.C., with his last appearance being one of the headlining acts at the Rockin' River Music Fest in Merritt in 2022.

While most people might know the musician as the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish since its inception back in 1986, Rucker has also carved out quite a successful solo career as a country music star.

Some of his more successful solo tracks include his 2012 cover of the Old Crow Medicine Show song "Wagon Wheel", which earned him a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance, as well as the 2009 hit "Alright".

Concertgoers will likely be able to hear these hits and plenty of others at one of Rucker's several Canadian shows this year.

The first stop on the Canadian leg of the tour is at Abbotsford Centre, where he'll be performing on Oct. 15 alongside opening acts Tyler Braden and Kashus Culpepper.

After the Abbotsford show, Rucker heads over to Alberta to play a couple of shows before continuing east across the country through the remainder of October.

The full list of Canadian shows includes:
