Cineplex 91Ô´´ is one of four theatres in B.C. participating in a new festival that brings classic films into 3D.
The inaugural 3D Fest, presented by RealD 3D, runs Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, and gives movie-goers the chance to experience a new dimension of favourite action stars, childhood classics, horror masterpieces and epic love stories.
RealD 3D is one of the world’s most widely used 3D cinema technology, and is known for having crisp, bright, realistic images and depth that puts audiences in the thick of the action, a press release states.
Featured films include The Wizard of Oz (1939), Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (2009), Top Gun (1986), Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), Titanic (1997), Life of Pi (2012), Piranha (2010), Dial M for Murder (1954), Gravity (2013) and TERMINATOR 2: Judgment Day (1991).
Tickets are $6.99 per admission, or $5 with the purchase of three or more films.
Other B.C theatres participating in the festival are Cineplex Odeon International Village Cinemas, SilverCity Riverport Cinemas and SilverCity Victoria Cinemas.
