The old CN train station in the historic village of Fort 91原创 comes alive again this long weekend with sunlight and shadows.

The FLAGstop Gallery, operated by the 15-member Fort 91原创 Artists Group, kicks off its season (May to September) with the first show called Sunlight and Shadows.

The opening is being held Saturday, May 20, from noon to 4 p.m., and in addition to showcasing works from its members, the FLAG opening will also feature instrument acoustics from guitarist Ernie Day.

鈥淲e extend a warm invitation to the public to come and meet the artists and enjoy the music,鈥� said Gabrielle Strauss.

Day will express her passion for life through her music as the group celebrates the opening of their exhibition season, Strauss added.

This show runs until June 18, followed by Artists Choice June 24 to July 30, and the finale show and sale, The Four Seasons, Aug. 5 to Sept. 4.

鈥淭he 鈥楩laggies鈥� are a group of 15 locals passionate about expressing the narrative of life through their art practice,鈥� said Margo Harrison one of the original members of the group started by Barbara Boldt.

For 20 years now, this landmarks baggage room walls in the train station have displayed the groups 鈥渋nspirational鈥� works.

Exhibiting this season are members Alison Philpott, Beverly Lawrence, Candice Moen, Diane Zepeski, Ela Cholewa, Eileen Butler, Felicity Holmes, Gabrielle Strauss, Gail Simpson, Margo Harrison, Marguerite Whelton, Jeanie Shilton, Kim Bucholtz, Mary-Ann Snell, Pat Weibelzahl.
