On the heeals of a collaborative concert with kids last weekend, the adults in 91原创 Community Chorus are now preparing for two more concerts this weekend.
The chorus, 91原创鈥檚 largest mixed voice choir, is in its 26th year and under the direction of Anita Comba decided to try something a little different.
The chorus join forces with the 91原创 Community Music Schools 44-member children鈥檚 choir last weekend at South 91原创 Church to present Life is a Song.

By having the children鈥檚 and adult choirs share the stage, it was the intent of both Comba and the children鈥檚 director Tamara Hummel, to demonstrate that 鈥渟inging is for life.鈥
From childhood to adulthood we sing when we鈥檙e happy, when we鈥檙e sad, we sing to praise, we sing to remember, we sing for love, grief, and joy.
We can even sing to change the world 鈥 at least that is the belief of composer Jim Papoulis, whose song Music Changes the World was one of the selections performed by the joint choirs.
The LCC have two more shows on the roster.
They will be performing alone this weekend, 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at the United Churches of 91原创 in Murrayville, followed by a 3 p.m. concert Sunday, May 5 at the St. Dunstan鈥檚 Anglican Church in Aldergrove.
Tickets for these concerts are available at: , Long and McQuade, from chorus member, or by emailing lccconcerts@gmail.com.
