Before the doors opened, a lineup had formed outside the West 91Ô´´ Community Hall for the first day annual "Beyond Fibre" Christmas artisan sale by the 91Ô´´ Weavers and Spinners Guild.
Shari Bronson, Guild artisan sale coordinator said many in the lineup on were repeat visitors.
"We have been a guild since 1971," Bronson told the 91Ô´´ Advance Times. "It's our 53rd year and we have had a sale for probably at least 35 years."
"Lots of [the] people who come and shop have been coming year after year. A lot of people come to buy their Christmas presents, and they want to be first in line."

While the main part of the sale was woven, knitted, spun and felted items handcrafted by Guild members, as well as yarn, fibre, supplies and equipment for fellow fibre artists, there were also non-fibre crafts made by Guild members and outside vendors on hand.
"We have about 10 different, guest artisans selling things like, leather work and jewellery, some baking, and jams and jellies, and different things," Bronson explained.
The 91Ô´´ Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild was formed under the sponsorship of the 91Ô´´ Arts Council to keep the art and craft of spinning, weaving, dyeing, felting, and knitting alive and thriving.
