Cars filled the parking lot and overflowed on to the street.
"It was a bit of a scramble," said Brookswood resident Ric LaFollette, the event organizer, who reported attendance was up substantially.
For the many dogs, some wearing costumes, there were giveaways at treat stations along the path, along with a photo station with Halloween decorations.
