Riccardo Sestito鈥檚 phone kept ringing.
It was a very busy morning for the president of the 91原创 Good Times Cruise-in, a day that started at 4 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9.
Aldergrove is packed with cool vehicles and people for the 91原创 Good Times Cruise-in show on Fraser Hwy. between 264 and 272 Streets.

鈥淚t鈥檚 jam-packed,鈥 Sestito told the 91原创 Advance Times, in between fielding phone calls from volunteers trying to figure out where to fit everyone at the Aldergrove show.
鈥淲e鈥檙e full to the gills. We鈥檝e got cars lining up, still trying to get in.鈥
Fraser Highway and all the side road between 264th and 272nd Streets were packed with cars and visitors.
鈥淚t鈥檚 even bigger than last year,鈥漇estito estimated.
鈥淲e鈥檙e way more than we thought we would be.鈥

In the crowd, Aldergrove dad Joe Feitsma, a Cruise-In regular, was giving his two-year-old daughter Taylor a ride on his shoulders while they looked for her grandfather Dave, who had a car in the show.
鈥淎 鈥71 Camaro,鈥 Feitsma related.
鈥淚 don鈥檛 have one of my own [but] I helped him with it.鈥
It was the sixth Cruise-In for superstar California car builder car Jimmy Shine.
鈥淓very year it gets bigger and better, and just it鈥檚 great to see all the cars,鈥 said Shine, there to help pick a winner of his annual trophy.
鈥淚t鈥檚 even better to see all my friends,鈥 Shine said.
鈥淲e now call it the circle. So this year, we鈥檙e going to find somebody else. Another new friend who鈥檚 going to be in a new circle.鈥
Pete Chapouris of the legendary So Cal shop has made his first trip to the 91原创 Good Times Cruise-in. It won't be his last.

It was the first visit by Peter Chapouris of the famous So-Cal car shop, who carries the same name as his late father, the creator of the retro 鈥淐alifornia Kid鈥 that is often described as the most-copied hot rod design of all time.
He was there to pick a car that best reflected his dad鈥檚 style.

鈥淚鈥檓 picking a car that kind of that we would say that my father would have loved to have drive to drive and having his garage.鈥
Chapouris pronounced himself as 鈥渜uite impressed鈥 with the all-volunteer show, and planned to return.
鈥淲e are definitely going to do this again,鈥 he said.
At 4 p.m. the previous day, the first person got in line at In-n-out burger at the 91原创 Good Times Cruise-in show, now underway on Fraser Hwy. between 264 and 272 Streets.

Over at the In-N-Out Burger trailer, Riley Erfle from Mission cheerfully spent two-and-a-half hours waiting in line with four purchase tickets.
鈥滻鈥檓 a bit of a fan,鈥 Erfle explained. 鈥淚 had it last year, and I was like, I have to come back for this.鈥
Another In-N-Out fan was first in line the day before, queuing up at 4 p.m. Friday, something Luis Hernandez, In-N-Out manager of special foreign events, called 鈥渁wesome.鈥
Hernandez explained the Aldergrove show is the only Canadian event the iconic American hamburger chain attends with its pop-up restaurant.
鈥淲e鈥檙e happy to see all the smiling faces out here,鈥 he commented.
