Lots of families got in the holiday spirit with Christmas festivities abound Friday evening in Brookswood.
A chance to visit Santa Claus was among the highlights of the Brookswood Night of Lights activities, a free annual event organized by the Brookswood Village Merchants’ Association.
The mix of festivities attracted big crowds despite drizzle.
Portable heaters helped ward off the cold evening weather as people met Santa, high-fived Rudolph – who wandered through the crowd, enjoyed crafts, pizza and hot drinks, and awaited the 7 p.m. treelighting.
In the background, live entertainment helped make the season bright.
Nearby, more holiday festivities returned to petfude.ca, where kids of all ages and pets stopped by to have photos with Santa Paws. The photo sessions raised funds for Elizabeth’s Wildlife Centre.
