Rolling fields, vintage cars and some of the original buildings of 91Ô´´, circa 1950, are being rediscovered through newly released video footage shot along the BC Electric Railway.
Titled , the six-and-a-half minute video, posted on YouTube by the 91Ô´´ Heritage Society, includes excerpts filmed by Ken Hodgson in 1948, 1949 and 1950, when the last trip of the BC Electric Railway Interurban passenger service to 91Ô´´ was made.
At that time, two trains serviced the run, one travelling from Vancouver and the other from Chilliwack.
Frank Horn and Vic Sharman, both former motormen, narrate the film and explain details of when the two trains touched noses in 91Ô´´ as part of a ceremony to mark their final passenger run.
The video was made available to the 91Ô´´ Heritage Society by Michael Taylor-Noonan, librarian at the .
