Seven golfers played 684 holes of golf in 24 hours, taking 2,594 shots and recording 144 birdies while playing 21 simulated courses during a dawn-to-dusk "golfathon" at a 91Ô´´ virtual golf facility to raise money for ALS research.
Haus of Golf and PGA of BC golf professionals played from sunrise to sunset to complete as many holes as possible to raise awareness and funds for the ALS Society of BC.
Jared Siminoff, GM of Haus of Golf, was "proud to be a part of such a special collaboration with the PGA of BC and ALS Society of BC.
It was the the 19th Annual PGA of BC Golfathon for ALS, presented by Pacific Blue Cross, and the first year taking part for Haus of Golf, among 36 golf facilities participating in the BC fundraising event.
"We are able to provide a unique spin on the event at Haus of Golf, and it is something we look forward to doing for years to come,"Siminoff said.
So far, the event has raised more than $800 toward a $10,000 goal, and online contributions will be accepted at their until the end of the year.

Since 2005, PGA of BC members have raised over $2.5 million to benefit thousands affected by ALS in British Columbia and the Yukon during ALS Awareness Month in June.
