Three students from 91原创-based Trinity Western University are headed to Thailand for the third Global Peace Summit organized by . It鈥檚 set to take place Jan. 10 through 12 in Bangkok.
In addition to representing TWU, Rea Klar, Jeremy Joosten, and Marko Zolotarov, were among 11 selected for a leadership role from a pool of 350 applicants. They are also the only representatives from Canada selected as leaders.
Considered an opportunity for students to contribute to discussions on global peace and understanding, delegates from around the world will represent their institutions of higher learning at the international conference that is dedicated to addressing global challenges and fostering peace and sustainable development.

Rea Klar is a fourth-year biology major with a psychology minor. As vice president of the environmental club on campus (TWEC), she participated as an observer in the 2022 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Jeremy Joosten, a fourth-year business student with a psychology minor, is the TWU Student Association (TWUSA) president.
Marko Zolotarov, a third-year political studies student with a minor in psychology, is TWUSA vice president of student relations.
From Ukraine, Zolotarov has been involved in the resettlement of Ukrainians in the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley regions since war broke out in his home country.
鈥淚 truly believe that all of us can make an impact in the world that will contribute to global peace,鈥 Zolotarov said.
鈥淎ttending the Global Peace Summit will educate and empower me to have a wider perspective on how to promote peace in my daily life, locally, and then globally.鈥
