One night in the Fraser Valley, Variety BC raised $155,000 to help children with special needs.
The event, One Night in the Valley, featured platinum-selling 91原创-born singer, winner of a number of CCMA Awards, Dallas Smith.
Smith had the crowd jumping out of their seats and dancing to his roster of hits, including 鈥淎utograph,鈥 鈥淢ake 鈥橢m Like You,鈥 and his most recent single, 鈥淩hinestone World.鈥
The Saturday evening gala began with a Red Carpet Tailgate featuring live entertainment from singers Cambree Lovesy and Shylo Sharity.
The line-up of performers and celebrities had the audience of more than 300 鈥渆njoying and dancing鈥 through the evening at the Cloverdale Agriplex, said Variety director of development Meghan Bradner.
It was 鈥済reat for Variety to reconnect鈥 with its entertainment beginnings, said Bradner, noting that the event 鈥 the first of its kind held by Variety in the Fraser Valley 鈥 was particularly successful in bringing out a 鈥渂rand new crowd鈥 to support the organization鈥檚 work with special needs children.
Following the reception, the drapes opened to a room that captured the feel of upscale country, complete with grazing stations, a whiskey tasting lounge and title sponsor Preston GM鈥檚 all-new trucks line-up.
Variety BC CEO Cally Wesson expressed special thanks to One Night in the Valley presenter Joseph Richard Group and Peter Heppner of Preston GM of 91原创.
