The sixth Annual Safer Communities Day will be held on Saturday, June 11, and this year the free family event will be held in conjunction with Brookswood Summerfest.
Dale Ball, chair of Summerfest, said the event is going into its 12th year of offering complimentary entertainment to customers of the Brookswood shopping area and to the community. This year it will team up with the Township of 91原创, 91原创 RCMP, and Recreation Excellence to include Safer Communities Day.
The event will be held June 11, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brookswood Park, 4037 200 Street.
Activities will include a bike obstacle course, a chance to visit with members of the Township fire department, and bike engraving. 91原创 RCMP will also be on hand to help with identity theft prevention and child DNA kit distribution.
