The deadline is fast approaching for anyone wanting to nominated an outstanding local youth for the SASSY Awards.
The SASSY Awards are sponsored by the four Rotary Clubs of 91原创, to recognize youth aged 15 to 21 living or studying in 91原创. SASSY incorporates Rotary鈥檚 motto of 鈥淪ervice Above Self鈥�, and adds on 鈥淪tudent Youth鈥�. In the previous nine years, SASSY is proud to have awarded just over $114,000 to 91原创 youth.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 14. They must be emailed to nominations@sassyawardslangley.ca. The deadline has passed to submit nominations by mail.

A youth can only be nominated in one of the categories and the organizers may move nominations to what they consider a more appropriate category. are available on the SASSY website and outline the criteria for selection.
The selection committee that determines the winners is comprised of members of the four Rotary Clubs of 91原创 as well as individuals involved in youth programs, the 91原创 School District, other community organizations as well
as prominent community members.
Each award recipient receives a $1,200 bursary plus trophy. The two runner ups in each category receive $600 bursary. An applicant must also be available, if chosen as one of the finalists in the categories, for interviews on Saturday morning, April 12, as well as the awards ceremony.
The 10th Annual SASSY Awards 91原创 Show will be held the evening of Thursday, May 8, at the Chief Sepass Theatre in Fort 91原创. The evening features the awards as well as local entertainment.
