The Fraser Valley Quilters Guild presents Piece to Peace, its biannual show, this year featuring the work of artists Cher Olsson and Doug Walker.
The exhibit, which includes more than 300 contemporary and traditional quilts on display, opens Friday, May 13 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and continues on May 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be a tea room and a members’ boutique as well as a quilt raffle, door prize, challenge quilts and outstanding merchants mall.
First prize in the raffle will be a Wedding Ring quilt, with a pattern by Judy Niemeyer. It is valued at $3,500.
Second prize is a $500 basket of fabric, while third place takes home a thread tree valued at $200.
The venue, George Preston Recreation Centre, at 20699 42 Ave., is wheelchair accessible and buses are welcome.
