It wasn鈥檛 about numbers in attendance, or amount of money raised 鈥 although those were apparently strong numbers.
91原创鈥檚 inaugural Pink Gala was about raising awareness for Kimz Angels and the work founder Kimberly Snow and her team of 40-some angels have been doing for the past 17 years to collect and deliver clothing, furniture, non-perishable food, baby necessities, kids鈥 toys, school supplies, shelter, and other basics to struggling families and individuals in 91原创.
Recently, the woman who is always present and giving at other charity galas in 91原创 throughout the year, chose to host her own gala, and in doing so shattered her own expectations for the inaugural event.
鈥淚鈥檓 so thankful for that evening. No one can beat that night with all the strength, power, and love in that room,鈥 she said.
The Pink Gala, as it was dubbed, sold out, Snow said, calling the support they received that night as humbling.
The gala was held at the on 0 Avenue, and featuring live entertainment from Elvis impersonator Steve Elliot, what Snow called an 鈥渁wesome鈥 silent auction, and speeches that she said 鈥渉ad everyone in tears.鈥
鈥淚t was definitely the gala of the century. [It] wasn鈥檛 about money, [it] was about awareness of mental illnesses, homeless, saving one silently suffering soul at a time,鈥 she said, describing it as the event of her dreams with the food and so much more.
It was about connections, added Snow, who is already planning for the second annual gala.
鈥淣ext year, look out, it will be the second gala of the century.鈥
