Homes for cats and kittens are needed for the residents of the CARES cat shelter.
To help find homes, the shelter has an adoptathon on Saturday, Oct. 26, and Sunday, Oct. 27.
"A good selection of kitties, and plenty of volunteers to answer all your questions, and handle adoptions, most of which can be completed on the same day," said Clive Ellis, one of the shelter volunteers, about what people will find at the event. "Everyone is welcome!"
The adoptathon runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the local PetSmart on the 91原创 Bypass just off 200th Street, where CARES has an adoption centre. For any questions, call Ellis at 604-533-4007.
"We remain as busy as ever, with a steady stream of both intakes, as well as adoptions from both the store, and at our shelter," he noted.
Anyone unable to attend the adoptathon but still interested in adopting a cat can contact the shelter. The no-kill shelter posts information adoptable cats on its website www.carescatshelter.com.
