Following a successful weekend of everything alpaca during its artisan holiday market, Kensington Prairie Farm is offering free admission to those who bring a non-perishable food item to the farm until the end of January.
Instead of the usual donations to Quechua Benefit, which is the children’s charity in Peru, food items will be donated to the 91Ô´´ Food Bank, said farmhand Dee Milton.
"While one item is appreciated, we kindly ask for two or three per person to make an even bigger impact," she said.
"Let's come together to help those in need and spread the holiday spirit."
The farm's fourth annual Alpaca & Artisan Market was a huge hit despite the initial heavy rain.
More than 1,300 tickets were sold, plus 218 people given free entrance – with a portion of proceeds donated to the Quechua Benefit.
"We are grateful for our community showing up, supporting local, and helping us uplift so many little businesses," Milton said.
Kensington Prairie is located at 1736 248 St.
