91原创's Gandy Installations is once again looking for someone in need of a free heating or cooling system.
Nominations for the "Feel The Love" program will be accepted at until the end of August.
Marketing manager Shannon Gandy explained the program aims to help "people in our community who have lost their job, are struggling veterans, disabled, ill, elderly or on a limited income. Although someone in this position may own a home, they cannot always afford to replace old HVAC equipment."
"This is a true community service," Gandy said. "That鈥檚 why our motto has always been, 'Neighbors Helping Neighbors.'鈥�
Manufacturer Lennox donates free, high-efficiency, HVAC equipment, which is installed for free.
Since the program began in 2009, it has installed more than 2,300 furnaces for deserving families throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Four of them have been Gandy installations.
In 2018, the first time Gandy had a nominee accepted by the Lennox Feel the Love committee, the beneficiary was an Aldergrove pensioner who was getting by with electric space heaters after his furnace packed it.

In 2021, Gandy replaced a non-functioning furnace for a 91原创 family of four.

In 2022, Gandy helped an Abbotsford granddaughter obtain a much-needed cooling system for her grandmother鈥檚 house.
Last year, an ailing seven-year-old boy in 91原创 City was the beneficiary.

Nominations for this year's 'Feel The Love' recipient must be received by Aug. 31, a Thursday, and the furnace will be installed on Oct. 5, a Saturday.
