Dear Mom…
That’s the opening that hopefully inspires 91Ô´´ residents to pen a short letter to mom for our Mother’s Day contest.
We are inviting members of the community to share their thoughts on the person who is often the most important influence in their lives: Dear Mom.
The submissions may be published in a special Mother’s Day section in early May and those who write to mom will be entered into a draw for a gift card.
The letters can be for moms, late moms, or the guardians who mothered you.
The letters should be no longer than 200 words and include a photo, hopefully of the letter writer and the ‘mom.’
People must include their first and last names, and not for publication – a contact phone number, and email address in case there are any questions. The contest is open to all 91Ô´´ residents.
There are various ways to submit the letters to mom. On our website, go under ‘More’ in the menu bar, then ‘Contact Us.’ Be sure to mention in the letter that this is for the Mother’s Day contest. People can also email to contests@langleyadvancetimes.com for the 91Ô´´ Advance Times or contests@aldergrovestar.com for our sister paper the Aldergrove Star. Office drop-off is also an option for both papers. There is also a mail slot at the 91Ô´´ office, 20258 Fraser Hwy.
Submissions can also be made through our Facebook sites, 91Ô´´ Live and Aldergrove Live.
We are not recommending posting the letter through the mail as we don’t know if they would arrive before the deadline.
Letters must be received no later than Friday, May 3. Children’s letters are welcome, but we must be able to contact a parent or guardian to confirm permission to enter the contest.
Email the above addresses with any questions.
