Car show season is about to get underway in 91原创, with the first major event set to go on Sunday, April 20 in Fort 91原创 with the 21st annual St. George鈥檚 Day car show held by the (LAMB) club from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the front lawn of the front lawn of the Fort 91原创 community hall.

Among the owners of classic British vehicles, Aldergrove鈥檚 Ian and Doreen Davidson-Newby are expected to return with their their classic double-decker 1951 Leyland RTL bus.

Used in the film 鈥淭o Sir, With Love,鈥� the bus was converted to a fully self-contained tourist office on wheels and shipped to Canada, where it was driven from coast to coast, before eventually ending up south of the border.

鈥淚t was sitting covered with moss in a yard in Edmonds, Washington,鈥� Ian recalled in a 2023 interview with the 91原创 Advance Times.

鈥淎nd the lady that owned it had, fortunately, run out of money before she had a chance to take the top deck [off], gut it and turn it into a boutique. Luckily, she never been able to get it running. We were, and we drove it home, and it鈥檚 been at every Saint George鈥檚 day in 91原创 for about the last 15 years as a British icon.鈥�

Doreen often attends dressed in a bus 鈥渃onductoress鈥� uniform used by ticket takers.

St. George is the patron saint of England and LAMB tries to hold its annual car show as close as possible to April 23, the day that pays tribute to him.

This year, 91原创's many car shows include April 27 at Aldergrove Community Secondary School as well as the May 4 at the school, and the May 25 show at .

The biggest 91原创 car show of the year, the annual , is set for Sept 6, in Aldergrove.
