Design Lighting in Surrey is the recipient of the Outstanding Merchandising Display award at the second annual Showroom of the Year Awards, held recently.

Hosted by Dallas Market Centre and Residential Lighting magazine, the Showroom of the Year Awards recognize the best lighting retailers in North America.

Since opening in 2009, Design Lighting鈥檚 26,000 square-foot showroom has offered 鈥渨armly welcoming鈥� displays for customers that mix warm tones to convey comfort.

Following their motto, 鈥淯niquely placed to capture the individual鈥檚 eye,鈥� the Design Lighting showroom uses technology and design to create an easy to navigate, relaxed atmosphere that is environmentally friendly as well.

Design Lighting uses an Optiwatt system, which allows employees to turn individual light fixtures on and off separately. With this they can ensure that only 10 per cent of the fixtures are turned on at any given time, in order to conserve energy and allow customers to focus.

The showroom also features a complete interactive home setting with full living room, dining room and kitchen, as well as a separate room for landscape products so customers can see them in a 鈥渘ight sky鈥� environment.
