For anyone who likes to eat, drink and relax, the Downtown 91原创 Business Association offers both a choice and a challenge 鈥 help narrow down its list of finalists in the Start It Up 91原创 contest.
The DLBA is now inviting members of the public to vote for the next new business they want to see in Downtown 91原创.
The winning business in the Start It Up 91原创 contest will receive over $130,000 in prizes, including six months鈥 free rent, marketing support, legal and accounting fees, business coaching, a grand opening reception, and much more.
鈥淲e鈥檝e narrowed it down to five outstanding semi-finalists who all have something unique to bring to the Downtown 91原创 community,鈥 says Teri James, executive director of the Downtown 91原创 Business Association.
鈥淲e鈥檙e very excited to turn this over to the public to see what they would like to have as a business in downtown 91原创 City.鈥
The five semi-finalists are:

Specialty donuts and cakes that are baked fresh daily.
鈼 Jennifer Henderson | Elevate & Anchor 鈥 A Tea Shop & Wellness Studio
A peaceful space where customers can enjoy a relaxing blend of teas and participate in wellness classes.
鈼 Chaylene Lidell & Shaughnessy Keely | PinkAVO Caf茅
Healthy, vegetarian and vegan-friendly food, vibrant decor and Instagrammable pink lattes.
鈼 Brian McKenna | Old Ted鈥檚 Cure 鈥 A Salmon Boutique
Fresh cured and smoked salmon and specialized culinary equipment.
鈼 Vicki Nguyen | Phound 鈥 A Dessert Shop & Bakery
Sweets are made using local ingredients.
The semi-finalists will be tasked with gaining as many votes as possible between now and July 11. The three businesses with the most votes will proceed to the final judging round. Contest judges 鈥 made up of members of the 91原创 business community鈥攚ill then select the winner of the grand prize. The winner will be announced on July 16.
