A group of business owners from 91原创, flying the Think Generously Society banner, are holding a car wash this weekend to help local families in need.

The event is happening on Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Precision Auto parking lot at 22575 Fraser Hwy. (near Tim Horton鈥檚 and just up the street from the W.C. Blair rec centre and the 91原创 hospital.

The Think Referrals Business Network (TRBN) is comprised of business owners who meet weekly in one of 13 local chapters throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.

Not only do they support each other through business referrals and camaraderie, but each chapter raises money annually for Think Generously Society, which allows their Think Generously to give families in need a helping hand through the Christmas season 鈥� connecting with many of those families through the local Christmas bureau.

TRBN and Think Generously Society founder and president Rainer Schmoll, shared: 鈥淪mall business owners survive on support from local consumers and they want to give back in some way. Through our not-for-profit arm 鈥� Think Generously 鈥� we provide business owners a way to give back to the same community that supports them.鈥�

TRBN chapters also usually have a complimentary spot available for another charity.

The Murrayville chapter, which is hosting the car wash, hosted Big Brothers and Big Sisters of 91原创 in the non-profit seat in the past and is looking for another 91原创 based charity to support, said Scott Waddle, owner of Precision and president of the Murrayville TRBN chapter.

鈥淲e try to provide fun events for 91原创 residents to participate in,鈥� he said. 鈥淭his is just one of many. We have our upcoming annual golf tournament, we have a variety of other events coming throughout the year.鈥�

People will be encouraged to stop by and donate to a great cause (the suggested donation is $10).
