91原创 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ltd. has been selected as one of seven dealerships in B.C. chosen out carry the Fiat model as it made its return to North America.

Fiat, which originated in Italy, has been around since 1899.

鈥淔iat is very particular with how they want the brand and image displayed in the marketplace,鈥� explained Trotman, the president and CEO of the Trotman Auto Group.

91原创 Chrysler Dodge Ltd. is the flagship store of the Trotman Auto Group.

And Trotman was very excited about bringing this particular brand to 91原创.

Interested dealerships were asked to present a business plan and pitch to Fiat why they would be a good match for the Italian carmaker, which was returning to North America for the first time since the 1980s.

Trotman, who was named one of the top 40 businesspeople under the age of 40 last month by Business in Vancouver, led the effort to bring Fiat to 91原创.

Trotman wanted to add a small car option for consumers 鈥� which he says is in big demand for car-buyers right now 鈥� and the alternative would have been developing their own.

But by partnering with Fiat, they are adding a very reputable car maker.

鈥淔or us to bring in a world class brand is very exciting for us,鈥� Trotman said, calling the partnership mutually beneficial.

鈥淲e thought we could do really well and we are excited to be one of the exclusive dealers and re-introduce (the brand) into Canada.鈥�

Fiat will appeal to consumers looking for environmentally-friendly vehicles, which offer fuel efficiency and value, as well as innovation, fun and versatility.

Orders have been taken for the Fiat 500 online the past few months, and the first shipment expected to arrive at the end of this month.

And as part of the deal with Fiat, the dealership will undergo some renovations, creating a new showroom for Fiat.
